Liability Policy

By purchasing a membership or daily green fee, the purchaser identified on this page as “The Player”, upon entering the Calabogie Highlands Golf Resort property, (GHGR), assumes an individual risk associated with the game of golf and the nature of the course. Before starting play, the player acknowledges that he or she has read and understands this liability policy and agrees to and accepts the contents hereof.

Club Property:

Calabogie Highlands Golf Resort (CHGR), has taken all precautions to ensure to the best of their ability, the tee decks, fairways, greens, bunkers, roughs, course watering systems and other terrain such as trees, drainage ditches, ponds, roadways, fescue, scrub areas, parking lots, buildings, washrooms, public entrance roads, out of bounds property and fence lines are maintained or marked. Should any unforeseen event occur to the player while on the GHGR property causing personal injury outside of an act of God, the GHGR cannot be held responsible. The player agrees to hold the GHGR harmless from and against any and all claims, actions, costs, expenses and demands in respect of such loss, damage or injury, howsoever caused. The player agrees to indemnify and reimburse the GHGR for any liability, costs or expenses imposed by law upon the GHGR for any and all such losses.

Player Personal Property:

Calabogie Highlands Golf Resort (CHGR), it’s employees, directors, insurers, agents, successors, and assigns, is not responsible for the loss or theft of or damage to personal property on the GHGR premises. Personal property includes but is not limited to golf clubs, golf bags, golf accessories, money, private vehicles or other owned property. The player will take all precautions to avoid loss or theft of or damage to all personal property. In the event of such loss, or damage, the player agrees to hold the GHGR harmless from and against any and all claims, actions, costs, expenses and demands in respect to such theft, loss or damage however caused, arising out of or in connection with the use of the CHGR.

Power Cart Rentals:

The player agrees to assume all risk of loss or damage to motorized golf carts rented as well as the risk of injury to the player or other persons and damage to other property arising from the use of the golf cart. The player will take all precautions to avoid loss or damage to the golf carts, course property and injury to other players. In the event of any loss, damage or injury, the player agrees to hold the GHGR harmless from and against any and all claims, actions, costs, expenses and demands in respect of such loss, damage or injury, howsoever caused. The player agrees to indemnify and reimburse the GHGR for any liability, costs or expenses imposed by law upon the GHGR for any and all such losses.
